Hugh Fearnely Whittingstall confronts EU bureaucracy

Hugh Fearnely Whittingstall Make sure you turn on Channel 4, tonight at 9pm.
A new series, presented by Hugh Fearnely Whittingstall, looks at Britain's fishing industry. He ask why so much fish is thrown back into the sea dead, why so little of the UK catch is sold here, and exploes the supermarket claims about the fish they sell.
In the series, Hugh Fearnely Whittingstall looks at EU rules and regulation on fishing. The programme reports on the impact of EU fishing quotas and how the UK's North Sea trawler fleet is throwing away almost one million tonnes of edible fish every year to keep within the quotas.
Hugh launches his most ambitious campaign yet, to try and put an end to this shameful practice. It's a fight which will take him right up to the corridors of power in Brussels.
Hugh's Fish Fight airs every night this week, at 9pm, on Channel 4.
