~YouGov / Nikki Sinclaire MEP Survey Results!

I Believe This Is The First Poll EVER to show a clear majority for leaving with as high as 68% of Conservative voters wishing to leave.

Of all the regions of Britain only Scotland & London did not show a majority for leaving The EU.

In every sector - region, gender, age there was over 70% who wanted a greater national debate of the issues.

Only Scotland did not want a referendum and even there 49% did!

CLEARLY BRITAIN'S POLITICIANS ARE COMPLETELY OUT OF STEP WITH THE PEOPLE & Seem To Be Representing Their Own Interests At The Expense of Britain, our peoples and democracy!

~PRESS RELEASE
- 100,000 DEMAND A SAY!

The Petition for an EU REFERENDUM!

.

PRESS RELEASE
embargoed until 08:30hrs
Tuesday 9th August 2011

EU REFERENDUM IN SIGHT AS 100,000 DEMAND A SAY

The campaign for a referendum on Britain's EU membership is given a double boost today. (Tues)

A petition demanding a straight "in or out" vote has now attracted more than 100,000 signatures  - which should be enough to force a Commons debate.

The breakthrough is bolstered by a new YouGov poll which reveals a clear majority  want ordinary people to have the fInal say on whether we pull out.

For the first time the YouGov poll shows a majority of people would actually vote to leave the European Union in an referendum.

The mountain of signatures has been collected in a cross-party campaign led by West Midlands MEP Nikki Sinclaire.

It will pile pressure on the Prime Minister to hold the first referendum on Europe since 1975.

Mr Cameron has pledged to dedicate House of Commons time to any issue which has the support of at least 100,000 people.

While he insists the names must be collected on individually entered electronic petitions, the Commons Leader's  office has indicated that a traditional pen-and-ink petition could be lodged with the backbench business committee if it has one or more MPs sponsoring it.

Nikki will tell a London Press conference today:
"This is an encouraging development and raises the prospect of an early debate on our continued membership of the EU - Almost eight in ten people want a national debate on the pros and cons of EU membership"
"To insist that only an online petition will count would disenfranchise millions of people, particularly the poor and elderly, who do not have an email account or access to a computer.

"The huge response to our campaign, together with the findings of our poll, show that most people want their say."
Today's poll shows overwhelming support for letting the public decide our future in the EU - and if they got their way they would vote to pull out.

Some 60% of voters want a referendum on whether Britain should remain a member of the EU, according to the YouGov survey commissioned by Nikki's campaign.

If there was a vote, a massive 52% would vote to leave, with only 30% preferring to stay in and 15%  undecided and 4% not bothering to vote.

Nikki, an independent MEP, added:
"Clearly the people of Britain want to decide who governs Britain. It must be alarming to the government that despite all their assurances on sovereignty and cast iron promises, more and more people have given up on this European project.  This argument has gone on far too long, we must decide our course once and for all in a binding referendum"
MPs are already facing demands to debate bring back hanging after 100,000 backed the move in an e-petition.

But Nikki points out that Britain is powerless to restore the death penalty while still in the EU because it would breach the UK's membership conditions by breaching the EU's Fundemental Charter on human rights.

She believes we get the worst of both worlds while inside the EU but outside the EUroZone.

"We have one foot in and one foot outside it," she said. "This is detrimental to our interests and to those of the EU, both politically and economically. We need to take a decision as to where our future lies.

"Despite numerous promises, nobody under the age of 54 has ever had a say on Britain's relationship with the EU. This issue needs to be resolved."
EU membership costs Britain £48 million a day - or £4,912 per household over the last 11 years.

But we have signed away power to decide our own future, with 75 per cent of British regulation coming from EU law.

Nikki also pays tribute to the hundreds of people across the country who have helped collate the petition including one gentleman in Dorset who has collected 2,000 signatures. Nikki said
"I'm overwhelmed by the level of support and the dedication of these people who truly are an inspiration."

~THE Nikki Sinclaire Petition for an EU Referendum reaches over 100,000!

Press coverage in a number of papers was earlier promised I hear but with tonight's mindless and moronic violence British Patriots may be disapointed by the sensationalism of the media!
.

.
Hi,

congratulations to UKIP member and Independent MEP Nikki Sinclaire  - it was great to see the progress with the Petition for an EU Referendum Campaign which she launched and now has The Sun also involved.
Thank you SUN readers!

Further to the advert in the SUN last Friday Nikki Sinclaire's office received a substantial postbag this morning - in fact two!

Well that's a start with the first bag!

congratulations - it was great to see the progress with The Sun also involved. I presume these letters include some full sheets of signatures that some may have downloaded and are vetted to remove duplication, as with the initial 100,000. I trust the signatures on line have also grown significantly. Good luck with the massive mail out of 65,000 magazines when that happens. Well done to Mike Nattrass & Trevor Colman as MEPs ex EFD for having contributed to help. It was sad to see the rump Faragistas all trying to run flack by supporting the rather muddled Express campaign which seems to have run into a sand trap!

Huge response again for the Campaign today

Today Nikki Sinclaire's office was extremely busy answering calls about the campaign with huge media interest.

In the photo below you can see almost a full bag of post she and her team managed to send out following the huge demand for petition forms and more info.

65,000 glossy printed copies of the campaign magazine published on line last week will be dispatched in the post by an independent mailing company this Wednesday.

 All of this obviously costs a great deal of money and has been utterly dependent on donations by Nikki Sinclaire herself and her supporters.

I'm fairly sure any donations to help pay for adverts or to keep the ad vans on the raod would be more than welcome!

Now badged to The Petition Campaign
Having done sterling work in The HS2 Campaign
It looks as if tomorrow will be a big day in the media with the results but let us as Patriots working for withdrawal from The EU hope that neither the unrest in London nor the petty band wagon jumpers try to harm this initiative which has done so well.

How Does David CAMERON REALLY FEEL About The EU?

How Does David CAMERON REALLY FEEL About The EU?

THE LETTER SENT BY DAVID CAMERON'S POLITICAL PRIVATE SECRETARY

Story Image

THIS is the full text of the letter sent by Laurence Mann, the Prime Minister’s political private secretary, to Conservative activist Anita Segar on July 20.
Dear Ms Segar

I am writing on behalf of the Prime Minister to thank you for your letter of 12 July regarding our membership of the EU.

We understand the strength of feeling of some who would prefer us not to be in the EU at all and that, like you, would like an in/out referendum to take place. There are some perfectly respectable arguments in favour of holding such a referendum. But there are also many strong counter-arguments, such as the fact that we had a referendum on that issue in 1975, which produced a very clear result.

There is also one argument, in particular, against holding such a referendum that we find irrefutably powerful, namely that most people in our country want to say neither ‘yes’ to everything from the EU, nor ‘no’ to everything.

The EU is not a matter of everything or nothing. We have, in the past, done well in ensuring that Britain can participate in the collective good carried out by the EU, such as free markets, while keeping out of things that we believe would be bad for our country. For example, we are not part of the Schengen Zone but have kept control of our own border controls, just as, crucially, we have kept the pound.

And we should not lose sight of the EU’s very useful work, such as ensuring that all the nations of Europe are equipped to face the biggest challenges of the 21st Century: global competitiveness, global warming and global poverty. These are compelling arguments for why we believe Britain should be an active member.

Of course the EU has some serious failings too, and there are certainly areas where its powers should be reduced. But a simplistic in/out referendum – posing an artificial choice that does not do justice to the range of views in the country – would be highly unlikely to settle the question of Britain’s membership of the EU at all.

Rather, the government believes it much more effective to use the weight of our membership to negotiate and force positive change.

The Government has also introduced a European Union Bill, currently before Parliament, which will give Parliament and voters more say over important EU decisions. This new legislation will ensure that if, in the future, there is a change to EU Treaties that move a power or an area from the UK to the EU, the Government of the day will have to ask for the British people’s consent in a national referendum before it can be agreed. This ‘referendum lock’ ensures that politicians in Whitehall will never again be able to hand over more power to Brussels without asking the British people first.

The Bill also places on a statutory footing the principle that Parliament is sovereign and that EU law only takes effect in the UK by virtue of the will of our own Parliament, expressed through Acts of Parliament.

Of course, in its first year in office this Government has been highly active on many other EU issues. We have made a good start in bringing the hitherto inexorable rise of the EU budget under control, saving taxpayers hundreds of millions of pounds. We have ensured that from 2013, Britain can no longer be liable from Eurozone bail-outs, another legacy from the Labour Government we have had to sort out.

And we are pushing forward measures that will be of benefit to Britain: making sure an EU-South Korea Free Trade Agreement was reached, which will mean big new opportunities for British businesses; and ensuring that the lifting of regulatory burdens on businesses, particularly
small businesses, is firmly on the EU agenda. We have achieved a good deal in getting the countries of the EU to use their collective weight in the world effectively, such as on tough, targeted sanctions on Iran or action to help countries moving towards democracy in the southern Mediterranean.

The Prime Minister fully understands that our membership of the EU incites strong feels (sic) in many people. But I hope this goes some way to explaining why we believe that an in/out referendum would be highly unlikely properly to settle the question of Britain’s membership of the EU, and also how we are securing the best deal for British people through our active and positive membership, while ensuring that our national sovereignty is protected in the future. Please be reassured that the Prime Minister would never allow our country to slide into a federal Europe.

Yours sincerely

Laurence Mann

~To ALL Genuinely Campaigning For A Referendum!

It is a shame that there are very clear Judas Goats seeking to attack genuine effort on behalf of the Tory Party and in support of The EU - it will surprise few this seems to be the very same people bought and paid for by The EU as they campaign for membership of PEPPs and the destruction of National Political Parties!
.
~~~~~~~~~~#########~~~~~~~~~~
.
Dear ALL Campaign Supporters
May I take this opportunity of thanking you for your continued support of the campaign for a referendum on our membership of the European Union.
We must remember that our unrelenting membership of the EU is now costing us £48million everyday and with our own Government cutting budgets in almost all areas our sustained membership is unacceptable.
The Campaign for referendum has over the last ten months been received extremely well in all areas of the political spectrum. I am happy to announce that the campaign has almost reached its target.
We are still out every week with our campaign vehicle, engaging and educating the public. This week we’ll be in the Market Place of Stafford ( West Midlands).
Also this week we are stepping up the campaign with our Target 5,000 push where we want to add an extra 5,000 names is just ONE week so we can really send the political elite in Westminster a clear message of just how many of you want a say on our relationship with the EU.
To help reach our target PLEASE respond to this email for more petition forms or alternately you can download some here  http://www.haveyoursay.eu/pdfs/petition-form.pdf   if you are able to get more of your friends and family to sign up to our campaign. If everyone would be able to find just a few new referendum supporters, our numbers will quickly multiply.
Please forward this email onto your all your email contacts and ask them to sign the petition now at:
Kind Regards,
Nikki Sinclaire MEP
Campaign for an EU Referendum
Interestingly having put a large amount of her own money into the campaign we notice that Nikki Sinclaire has around 85,000 signatures and some of these have already been delivered under Parliamentary rules as the firts part of the petition to The Speaker's Chair.
Others have copied her and even copied the name to try to gain cudos from her achievements and they have been made whilst under almost constant attack from The EU in the form of their agents in EUkip - who have defamed her, lied about her and eventually after being subject to a Guilty verdict in The Courts were forced to publicly apologise to stave off costly High Court Action for the time being - even then these supporters of the Gravy Train and their own snouts in the trough lack the ethics or the morality not to continue their childish antics.
May I congratulate Mike Nattrass, trevor Colman, Kate Hoey, Austin Mitchell, Richard Sheppard, Phillip Hollobone, David Bannerman and many other cross party members for their efforts and support of this campaign for a referendum which belatedly Dan Hannan and other friends of the EU such as Bob crow and his ilk plus many feeding at the troughs have decided to copy to try to help the EU and their income stream by trying to sabotage the campaign just as they tried with The Peoples' Pledge.
Farcical wasn't it to watch a gaggle of useless politicians so upset that they were not trusted to run The Peoples' Pledge that they went off in a huff to try to help the EU by copying it.
The Judas Goat is a long established subterfuge!
